This is one of my most favorite picture that I ever took of my children. My girls were three years old and they were practicing to be ballerinas. I love the light in their eyes! I am not normally a great photographer. My pictures are blurry. Or the color and lighting are wrong. So, the fact that this turned out the way I actually imagined in my brain is a huge plus for me!

Missing from the Snow - Missionary son!
We sure miss this guy! He has been gone for 7 months now. It is so strange to think he has been away from us for that long, but his letters to us each week make us feel closer. I sure wish he had always been this happy at home to have a broom in his hand!
Snow Days
In late December, Gary took a day off work and we took the kids to play in the snow. He worked for half of the day, and by the time we got up to the mountains, most of the snow play places were full. The "guard" at the Sno-Park told us we needed to come very early if we wanted to play there.
Or course, no day in the snow is complete without throwing snowballs at your younger sibilings and yes, that is T-man without a coat. "I'm not cold!" says he!
When our twins were in utero, Gary used to jokingly call them "Thing 1" and "Thing 2" from Dr. Seuss' The Cat in the Hat. So, in the blue hat is Thing 1.
Can you say "Re-enactment of The Christmas Story". Remember that scene where the kids sticks his tongue on the lightpole? Well, the Teenage Princess didn't really do it, she only looked like she was going to do it.
We came home from the day in the snow to delicious gluten-free chicken noodle soup cooking in the crockpot and much gratitude for a heater that works.

Topic for Tuesday, March 25th- The Working Girl

This week tell us about your favorite or least favorite job that you've had OUTSIDE of the home (we know the hardest job is being a Mom). Or just take a minute to document the jobs you've had.
Tell All Tuesday quit making up new categories, so I went through their archives and picked this one. These are the jobs that I have had:
- Babysitter
- Strawberry picker during middle school.
- Blueberry picker during high school.
- Paint sprayer for a little 1/2 inch lid cover thingy in high school for 2 weeks.
- Car Washer at a Lincoln Mercury Dealership for about 4 weeks.
- Burger flipper, cashier, janitor at Burger King during high school.
- Catering supervisor at BYU Catering during college years.
- Bakery worker for the BYU Bakery after the Catering job. I also frosted donuts here! They wanted to train me to decorate cakes, but I just do not have the talent for that sort of thing!
- Nanny in Paris, France for a summer during college years.
- It was my kids' job, but I still had to be the driver for the newspaper route.
- Leather cutter for a scissor tote company after I had kids. It was a job I could do from home.
- Accounts payable clerk for a Volkswagen dealership before college.

Topic for Tuesday 25th August - Mantra
This topic comes from *** Debbie ***What Is Your Mantra?
I don't really have a Mantra, but if I did, it might be one of these:
***Okie dokie!
***I can do hard things
****This too shall pass.....it's not forever.......
I used "It's not forever" frequently, maybe daily, the first year after our twins were born. It was a very time consuming period and very demanding and knowing that it wouldn't last forever made the hard times bearable.

Topic for Tuesday 18th August - Ha Ha Ha
This topic came from *** The Scott Family ***What really makes you laugh?
I really get a kick out of my kids saying funny things! I laugh when comedians say something about motherhood or fatherhood that is true and clean and decent. I laugh when I watch shows on TV that depict fathers acting in ways that a mother never would (You know, putting the kids' clothes on backwards, etc.) I laugh when I am with my girlfriends and they tell me funny things their children are doing. I laugh when I am out to dinner or a ladies event with my girlfriends. My husband also makes me laugh. He has a wonderful sense of humor and is a happy soul. He makes me smile every day.
I am so grateful Heavenly Father created laughter, because it truly is a balm to the soul to be able to laugh!
